I wonder how long it takes to get a model ready, but judging by the look of the finishing result at some runway shows, it must take quite a while. So I normally see lots of backstage fashion show pictures with models just listening to their IPods or on their phones (usually a Blackberry). What I don’t understand is why everyone…well not exactly everyone, but the majority, have Blackberry phones? Aren’t they always breaking all the time and just generally shit? I think I know why though, it’s because everyone else in your school year has one and you feel left out from the bbm group chats.
It’s the same with clothes and fashion in general. There was a point if where I went shopping somewhere, I’d see every 1 in 3 girls wearing the same Varsity baseball jacket and cropped tee. I’m not saying throw your baseball jacket away (I’ve seen some great Alexander Wang ones), I’m just making my point of how individualism can be lost. I liked those jackets, but the fact that everyone wore it put me off. I just realized how off topic I am.
